The Timber Official Trailer Released

Set against the harsh backdrop of the 1898 Yukon, Josh Peck (Danny Collins, The Wackness) and James Ransone (Sinister, Inside Man) star in the apocalyptic Western-thriller The Timber, debuting on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD October 6 from Well Go USA Entertainment. Before you pick up this thriller in a few months, we have your first look at the exclusive trailer, that shows the unforgiving environment this story is set in.

In the Outback's Wild West, two desperate brothers take a job as bounty hunters to save their home. But in The Timber, brutality and bloodshed is the law of the land. In the Wild West, two brothers embark on a journey to collect a bounty in a desperate attempt to save their home: but what they find along the way is more than they bargained for.Balanced on the knife's edge between foreclosure and salvation, they head deep into the wilderness in an attempt to execute a warrant in hopes of saving their home. Torn from their family, they face harsh elements, crazed men, and death at every corner in pursuit of the outlaw, a twisted man who has turned the Yukon Territory into his own personal hell. The Timber captures the mania, starvation, swindles, hardships, and dangers that were part of the late 19th century's historic rush for gold. This is a story of greed, betrayal, and redemption in a place where bloodshed was common and graves were carved in ice.

Directed by Anthony O'Brien (Perfect Sport), The Timber also stars Elisa Lasowski (Eastern Promises), Mark Caven (Maleficent) and David Bailie (Pirates of the Caribbean franchise). Bonus materials on The Timber include two featurettes exploring the creation of the "Gunfight" and "Nightmare" sequences, interviews with actors Josh Peck, Elisa Lasowski and Julian Glover, as well as commentary with Director Anthony O'Brien. Well Go USA Entertainment has acquired the North American rights to the apocalyptic Western-thriller "The Timber," starring Josh Peck ("Danny Collins," The Wackness") and James Ransone ("Sinister," "Inside Man"). The movie will debut on DVD and Digital HD on October 6.

The film's official synopsis reads as follows: "1898. Alaskan frontier. Two brothers, balanced on the knife's edge between foreclosure and salvation, head deep into the wilderness in an attempt to execute a warrant in hopes of saving their home. Peck, Ransone to star in pic directed by Anthony O'Brien

ANA Media has set up apocalyptic Western-thriller “The Timber” with Josh Peck and James Ransone set to star.

Anthony O’Brien is set to helm the pic from an original story he co-wrote with Colin Ossiander and Steve Allrich.

Script, set during the 1898 Yukon gold rush, revolves around two brothers torn from their family who set out to find their violent father, a twisted man who has turned the Yukon Territory into his own personal hell.

Multi-award-winning independent feature film "Perfect Sport" out now on DVD.

 

Seattle, WA, May 19, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Washington-based entertainment production company Building Block Pictures LLC, in conjunction with Washington-based distributor Indieflix Inc, is releasing the multi-award-winning feature “Perfect Sport” on DVD on Tuesday May 19 2009 after a successful festival run.

Writer-director Anthony O'Brien stars in the teen sports drama, alongside Jessica Rose (Lonelygirl15, Greek) and Gary Hudson (Roadhouse, Paradise Falls). “Perfect Sport” won Best Picture at both Worldfest Houston 2008 and MyFestival 2008, and also the Audience Award at both the Seattle International Film Festival 2008 and the National Film Festival For Talented Youth (NFFTY) 2009, where it received a standing ovation.

This is not your average teen movie, and Lee Bishop (Anthony O’Brien) does not have the same problems as your average teenager. When his mother leaves for Iraq, Lee is forced to grow up quickly. As though maintaining his varsity spot on the wrestling team wasn’t enough to deal with, his younger sister Tina (Jessica Rose) decides to join the team. In addition Tina is being aggressively pursued by an upperclassman and since their father is out of the picture, Lee feels he is her only defense against the corrupting influences around her.

Enter Joe Kross (Gary Hudson), the owner of a local gym, who agrees to help coach the wrestling team. Because Lee is without guidance, Joe’s increasing influence threatens to push Lee over the precipice. Lee must decide how far he is willing to go to secure his own future while protecting his sister - all before personal demons, and an act of sexual violence threaten to destroy him. With standout performances by Gary Hudson, Jessica Rose, Nick Richey, Anthony O’Brien and Jim Turner, Perfect Sport will make you question - how far would you be willing to go?
